Strong Foundation Physical Therapy is here for all your needs from the time you get the positive test until you hold that sweet baby in your arms and beyond. Exercise has so many positive effects during pregnancy, and we want to help you stay healthy and active during this time. We also want to help you prepare for labor and delivery to empower you to have the best experience possible. After your bundle of joy arrives, we want to assist you in the postpartum period to heal and recover in the early stages and then progressively work back towards your previous level of activity in the safest and most effective way possible.
Bump And Beyond
36 WEEK BIRTH PREP SESSION
Discuss plan for labor, pain management techniques, ways to reduce tearing, labor and birth positions, as well as early postpartum recovery.
2 WEEK WELLNESS CHECK
Begin working on early exercise progression including core and pelvic floor work, mobility work, and bodyweight exercise. Discuss mechanics for daily activities including nursing, lifting and carrying baby, and carseat/stroller management.
6 WEEK WELLNESS CHECK
Discuss what "being cleared for exercise" really means. Discuss return to intimacy. Begin working towards specific activities for return to exercise.
12 WEEK WELLNESS CHECK
Return to running and impact activities check off. Discuss progressive return to sport or recreational activities.
